The Smithsonian Museum of Natural History has a number of Cretaceous Period shell fossils on display from Alabama. This first picture is of the
Calyptraphorus trinodiferus. The next picture shows a
Clinuropsis pagodiformis.
The third picture contains pictures of two specimens:
Lecifusus sp. and
Latirus tortilis.
The last picture is of a
"Voluta" newcombiana.
