This image shows a Gryphaea bilobata J. de C. Sowerby pelecypod fossil. It was found in the Jurassic Period Lower Callovian Kellaways Rock South Cave Yorks England.
Image taken August 2016. The fossil was on display at the British Natural History Museum.
