Calymene Trilobite After Cleaning


Here are pictures of a Silurian Calymene trilobite found in the Waldron Shale of Clark County, Indiana.  It had quite a bit of glue residue on it from earlier prep work. The glue was needed after pieces of the shell broke from too much pressure being applied by the prepping needle.  The matrix was downsized with a diamond saw.  A micro-scribe was used to reveal more of the cheeks.
