The picture above is of a pyrite brachiopod fossil called Leptaena rhomboidalis (Wahlenberg, 1818). Fossil found in the Waldron Shale of Clark County Indiana USA. It dates to the Silurian Period. Lyriocrinus melissa Crinoid Fossil
