Pachydiscus gulocus Ammonite

The Pachydiscus gulocus ammonite fossil from the Late Cretaceous (68-65 million years ago). Found in South Dakota. On display at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.

I've enjoyed the series of pictures of ammonites that you took at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History. You've done a great job taking pictures of fossils through the glass of display cases. It's a challenge that usually defeats me.
