Ordovician Brachiopods Sowerbyella and Plectorthis

Here are some more fossils from Pennsylvania. These are Ordovician period from Lebanon County, Pennsylvania and can be found in the Martinsburg Formation. The first two are brachiopods called Sowerbyella plectorthis. Update: The last picture is a brachiopod called Plectorthis. The shell imprints appear brownish-yellow because of the presence of limonite (hydrated iron oxide).

The brachiopod called Plectorthis.
