Calymene Pygidium & Thorax Trilobite Fossils

 



These pictures are of two trilobite fossils found in the Waldron Shale. They appear to be the pygidium and thorax remains of two Calymene (Brongniart, 1822) trilobites. These creatures existed in Silurian Period seas in what is now known as Clark County, Indiana, USA.

Megastrophia concava Brachiopod Fossil

This fossil appears to be a Megastrophia concava (Hall, 1857) brachiopod. The surface has some line patterns that might be from some sort of bryozoan like Hederella. Fossil was found middle Devonian period Jeffersonville Limestone of Clark County, Indiana USA.

Gennaeocrinus? Crinoid Calyx Fossil

 

While exploring the Jeffersonville Limestone of Clark County, Indiana USA, I found this crinoid calyx fossil. It is probably some sort species of the genus Gennaeocrinus (Wachsmuth & Springer,1881). This fossil dates to the middle Devonian Period.
