Columbian Fossil Ammonite




This fossil is Hoplocrioceras phillipi (Bean) found in Columbia. This ammonoid dates to Lower Cretaceous Period.

It is on display at Indiana University Department of Geology in Bloomington Indiana, USA.

Crinoid Calyx Fossil Macrocrinus mundulus


This crinoid calyx fossil is called Macrocrinus mundulus (Hall). It dates to the Mississippian Period and was found Keokuk of Warsaw, Illinois, USA.

The fossil is part of the Indiana University Department of Geology collection.

Paraconularia missouriensis Fossil


This fossil is part of the Indiana University Department of Geology collection. It appears to be a Paraconularia missouriensis (Swallow). The approximately 13.5 cm long fossil was found in Washington County, Indiana, USA. The specimen dates to the Mississippian Period.
