Eucalyptocrinites crassus Crinoid Stem Fossil

 

Eucalyptocrinites crassus (Hall, 1863) crinoid stem fossil found in the Waldron Shale of Clark County, Indiana USA. The crinoid existed in the Silurian Period.

Carpoid Fossil?

 

My cousin Kenny recently found this fossil in an Ordovician Period area of Indiana USA. Not sure what it is, maybe a worn carpoid fossil?

Calymene Pygidium & Thorax Trilobite Fossils

 

These pictures are of two trilobite fossils found in the Waldron Shale. They appear to be the pygidium and thorax remains of two Calymene (Brongniart, 1822) trilobites. These creatures existed in Silurian Period seas in what is now known as Clark County, Indiana, USA.
