Dolatocrinus vetusus Crinoid

This picture was taken of a fossil in the winning display case at the GeoFair 2009 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

This crinoid calyx fossil is called Dolatocrinus vetusus from the Middle Devonian Period. It was found in the Beechwood Member, North Vernon Limestone from Clark County, Indiana USA.

Devonian Heliophyllum Horn Coral

Here is a Middle Devonian period Heliophyllum sp. horn coral found in the Jeffersonville Limestone of Louisville, Kentucky. It measures about 7 cm in length and 3 cm wide.







Tricoelocrinus woodmani Blastoid

This fossil was seen in the winning display case at the GeoFair 2009 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

This blastoid was called Tricoelocrinus woodmani from the Middle Mississippian period.

This fossil was found in the Somerset Shale Member, Salem Limestone found in Floyd County, Indiana.
