Caryocrinites persculptis Cystoid

A small (approximately 2 cm tall) cystoid fossil called Caryocrinites persculptis. This specimen needs a little more cleaning to remove some stubborn matrix. A rare Silurian fossil found in the Waldron Shale of Clark County, Indiana.

See the Week's Trilobite web site to see the purported to may being the "finest cystoid ever found in the Waldron Shale Formation of Indiana" : CLICK HERE
