Kope Formation

The Kope Formation is a rich source for Ordovician Period fossils. It is known in some books as Eden Group or Latonia Formation (e.g. Cincinnati Fossils edited by R.A. Davis published Cincinnati Museum Center 1998). The book just mentions classifies fossils found there in the Cincinnatian Series, Edenian Stage, Latonia Subdivision further broken into McMicken, Southgate, and Economy.

Exposures can be found in Carroll County, Kentucky and Alexandria, Kentucky.
