These pictures show recent fossil finds in the Indian Springs Formation of Crawford County Indiana USA. The fossils date to the Mississippian Period. This fossil shown on the top is a
Pentremites sp. blastoid with quite a long stem. The end of the stem has quite a few little stubs where the hold fast roots once were to anchor it to the seabed.
This last picture is a close up of an unidentified crinoid calyx.
