Propora papillata Coral

Here is a Middle Silurian Period coral found in the Louisville Limestone. It is probably a Propora papillata or Lyellia papillata indentified by Rominger in 1876.

I used E.C. Stumm's Silurian and Devonian Corals of the Falls of the Ohio page 58 description and plate 56 figures 10-13.

This fossil was found in Louisville, Kentucky (Jefferson County).
