Brachiopod: Hebertella sinuata

These fossils are on display at Muséum National D'Historie Naturelle Jardin Des Plantes Paléontologie et Anatomie Comparée in Paris, France.

This brachiopod has significance to the Louisville area since it can be found here (maybe not the exact species). The particular brachiopods in this picture are identified as Hebertella sinuata.

Why does it say (Hall)?

That lists the last name of the person who named the species. In this case it probably refers to James Hall the paleontologist who named a lot of invertebrate fossils in the 1800s.
